We currently have full-time and part-time positions available for Medicare Certified Home Health Aides (HHA). Positions are available throughout our service area of Metro Detroit.

The certified home health aide/certified nursing assistant is a paraprofessional member of the home health care team who works under the supervision of a registered nurse or therapist and performs various personal care services as necessary to meet the patientโ€™s needs. The home health aide is responsible for observing patients, reporting these observations, and documenting observations and care performed.

The home health aide will be assigned in a manner that promotes quality, continuity, and safety of a patientโ€™s care.

Full Job Description

We are looking for a compassionate Medicare-certified Home Health Care Aide who has worked for a previous Skilled Nursing Home Healthcare agency. The qualified candidate preferably has at least one year of working at a Medicare Certified skilled home healthcare agency; to provide assistance in daily living and personal care services in patient's homes in accordance with an established care plan.

Responsibilities
  • Provide health care services in patient's residences
  • Administer simple prescribed medications
  • Assist with clientโ€™s personal care activities
  • Monitor patients (vital signs, temperature, respiration, etc.) and report on their condition
  • Maintain patient care records and document provided services
  • Assist patients with mobility and physical therapies/exercises
  • Instruct and counsel patients and families on diet and exercise
  • Collect routine specimens
  • Provide companionship and basic emotional or psychological support
Skills
  • Proven working experience as a licensed home health care aide
  • Ability to monitor vital signs and to collect specimens
  • Familiarity with basic nutrition and personal hygiene standards
  • Nursing and health care administration skills
  • Caring and compassionate personality
  • Current CPR certificate
  • First Aid training
  • Valid driverโ€™s license
  • High school degree
