Your new role
We are seeking a Civil CAD Technician or Civil Engineer with strong Civil 3D skills to support conceptual master planning efforts for large-scale data center campus developments. This role requires a blend of technical drafting/design and an ability to work closely with civil engineers and planners to visualize site layouts during early due diligence and planning phases.
Your key responsibilities will be:
  • Support conceptual site layouts, parcel planning, and preliminary utility, roadway, and grading concepts using AutoCAD Civil 3D, while translating engineering and planning mark-ups into accurate CAD drawings and site plans.
  • Produce test fit layouts for large campuses, incorporating zoning setbacks, wetlands, access roads, utility corridors, and other site constraints.
  • Perform quality control reviews of drawings to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with applicable standards.
  • Coordinate regularly with project managers, civil engineers, and planners, and occasionally participate in meetings with clients or other project stakeholders.
  • Assist with gathering and interpreting site data, zoning information, and environmental constraints to support planning and design efforts.

Qualifications
About you
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D; experience with data center, industrial, or campus-scale planning preferred.
  • Diploma or degree in CAD design/drafting, civil engineering technology, or related field plus 2+ years of experience in site/civil drafting or design.
  • Familiarity with land development, site planning, grading, and utility routing.
  • Ability to read and interpret zoning ordinances and planning criteria is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills and the ability to meet deadlines.

Salary Transparency Statement
At Ramboll, we are committed to fair and transparent compensation practices that support our people and our purpose of creating sustainable societies. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $69,222 to $86,528 per year. This range reflects the compensation we reasonably expect to offer at the time of posting. Actual compensation will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and internal equity. Because we operate across multiple U.S. markets, pay may differ depending on the cost of labor in specific locations. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for bonus, overtime or other forms of compensation and we offer a comprehensive benefits package that supports well-being, professional development, and work-life balance.
