Type: Full TimeLocation: Arlington, Virgina Overtime Exempt: NoReports To: ARMADA HQSecurity Clearance Required: Top Secret w/ SCI ******************CONTINGENT UPON AWARD******************** The Security Specialist – PERSEC supports personnel security eligibility processes by maintaining accurate records, tracking clearances, and ensuring compliance with DoD and program‑specific access requirements. This role ensures that all personnel meet necessary eligibility standards for classified and controlled access. It also provides clearance, access, and Program Access Request support for both U.S. and international program members. Duties & Responsibilities:The Security Specialist – PERSEC maintains personnel security files in accordance with Government requirements and established personnel security standards.Security Specialist – PERSEC assist with updating personnel security clearance and access databases to ensure accurate and timely documentation of eligibility and access levels.Provide Program Access Request management support, including coordination, documentation, and tracking for all submitted PARs.Support international Program Access Requests at the F‑35 JPO Headquarters in Crystal City, VA, ensuring proper processing and documentation.Provide Personnel Clearance management support and assist with resolving clearance issues or discrepancies.Ensure all onsite Government personnel and DoD contractor staff hold current security clearances aligned with their position sensitivity and required access levels.Monitor personnel clearance status against the DoD system of record and coordinate updates or corrective actions as needed.Security Specialist – PERSEC maintain records, tracking logs, and administrative files to support personnel security compliance.Other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):Knowledge of personnel security policies, clearance requirements, eligibility standards, and DoD personnel vetting procedures.Skilled in maintaining and updating personnel security files, databases, and tracking systems used to document clearance status and access.Ability to manage Program Access Requests and coordinate personnel security requirements for both U.S. and international team members.Skilled in reviewing clearance information, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with established position sensitivity and access requirements.Ability to work effectively with Government security offices, service representatives, and contractor personnel to support personnel security operations.Specialized experience with flag-officer level briefings and senior-level interface. Minimum/General Experience:At least 10 years of relevant work experience. Minimum Education:Master's Degree in relevant field; or a bachelor's degree and 4 additional years of relevant work experience. Disclaimer:The above information has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work to be performed.
