Job Description

Administer, secure, monitor, troubleshoot, and sustain the servers, workstations, applications, accounts, configurations, and supporting infrastructure used by FEMA CCD and its continuity-communications environment at Mount Weather. The position supports the Division Program Management Office, ICCT and associated systems, configuration control, operational readiness, asset accountability, system integration, testing, user support, and restoration.

Primary Responsibilities

· Install, configure, administer, monitor, troubleshoot, patch, upgrade, and maintain assigned Windows and/or Linux servers, workstations, applications, peripherals, and system-management tools.

· Manage authorized user accounts, permissions, authentication, access controls, approved software, services, system configurations, and security settings under Government direction.

· Maintain configuration baselines, change records, asset and software inventories, licenses, system diagrams, administrator guides, SOPs, recovery procedures, and system-of-record entries.

· Perform backups, recovery tests, log review, health checks, performance and capacity monitoring, vulnerability remediation, patch validation, and operational-readiness checks.

· Support the Division Program Management Office and technical team with system administration, configuration management, lifecycle documentation, GFE accountability, and controlled technical records.

· Support integration, user-acceptance and performance testing, exercises, deployment preparation, continuity testing, post-change validation, incident response, fault isolation, and service restoration.

· Coordinate with Cisco/network engineers, telecommunications and RF staff, cybersecurity personnel, vendors, users, and Government stakeholders to resolve incidents and implement approved changes.

· Protect classified and sensitive information and comply with DHS/FEMA security, records-management, change-control, badging, and site-access requirements.

Required Qualifications

Active final Top Secret clearance with current SCI eligibility; willingness to undergo FSO verification and DHS suitability processing.

· Current CCNA certification, verifiable at the time of candidate submission.

· Three to five years of hands-on system-administration, secure infrastructure-support, or closely related experience.

· Experience administering enterprise operating systems, accounts, permissions, configurations, patches, backups, logs, monitoring, and technical documentation.

· Demonstrated troubleshooting experience in a controlled production environment using formal incident, change, configuration, and security processes.

· Ability to work full-time on site at Mount Weather EOC in Bluemont, Virginia and support scheduled after-hours changes, exercises, or restoration when required.

· U.S. citizenship and ability to comply with classified-facility, badging, nondisclosure, and information-protection requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

· Windows Server and Linux administration; Active Directory, Group Policy, identity/access management, virtualization, PowerShell or shell scripting, endpoint security, backup/recovery, and vulnerability-management experience.

· Cisco networking knowledge and experience supporting servers or applications connected to high-availability routing and switching environments.

· Prior Mount Weather, FEMA, DHS, DoD, continuity-of-government, emergency-management, public-safety, or other classified-site experience.

· Experience supporting ICCT, specialized communications, radio/SATCOM, network-management, test, logistics, or PMO applications.

· Experience with GFE accountability, configuration-management databases, disaster recovery, operational-readiness testing, and formal change-control boards.

· Current Microsoft, Red Hat, CompTIA Security+, VMware, cloud, or cybersecurity certification in addition to current CCNA.
