MANTECH seeks a Personnel Security Specialist II to handle personnel security functions in support of the customer's facility and organization to join our team in El Segundo, CA.

The Personnel Security Specialist's will provide day-to-day PERSEC services for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and Special Access Program (SAP) activities.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain various daily logs for administrative functions associated with PERSEC.
  • Perform data entry and record checks in the Joint Access Database (JADE) and maintain all customer-sponsored personnel access information and billets.
  • Build and maintain tracking spreadsheets and databases while following and enforcing customer Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Review, track, and monitor security clearance processing activities and prepare Program Access Requests (PARs) and Special Access Program Nomination Process (SAPNP) questionnaires.
  • Conduct Defense Central Index of Investigations (DCII), DISS, and SAPNP reviews of candidates submitted for SAP access.
  • Provide support for security awareness programs and interface with senior leaders and Government Program Managers for Access Approval decisions.  
  • Experience maintaining personnel security files, tracking spreadsheets, and administrative logs.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree; 4 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • 6+ years of related PERSEC experience, including 2 years of relevant SCI or SAP experience.
  • Must complete DISS, Joint Access Database Environment (JADE), and DoD SAPCO approved SAPNP training.
  • Experience executing Special Access Program Nomination Process Questionnaires and conducting record checks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with security policy manuals, ICDs, JAFANs, DoD Manuals, and guiding policy documents.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and effectively interact with DoD, military, civilian, and industry partners.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must possess an active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Must have eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information.
  • Must be willing to submit to a Counterintelligence polygraph.

Physical Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel within the organizational Area of Responsibility (AOR), which may include both air and ground transportation.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods in closed-area offices.
  • Must be able to occasionally move about inside and outside the office to access files, cabinets, and safes.

The projected compensation range for this position is $97,100.00-$161,900.00.
