Responsibilities
  • Design utility-scale Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) sites
  • Develop site grading and drainage plans for renewable energy facilities
  • Perform stormwater management and hydrologic/hydraulic analyses
  • Design: Site access roads, Equipment pads, Erosion and sediment control, Utility layouts, Earthwork and cut/fill balancing
  • Prepare civil construction plans and permitting packages
  • Coordinate with: Electrical engineers, Environmental teams, Surveyors, Geotechnical engineers, Project managers
  • Support projects from feasibility through construction
  • Assist with permitting and agency coordination

  • StormCAD
  • WaterCAD
  • HEC-RAS/HEC-HMS (preferred)
  • Civil site grading and earthwork tools

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • 2-5+ years of civil/site design experience
  • Experience with: Grading, Drainage, Stormwater design, utility layouts
  • EIT preferred; PE a plus
  • Renewable energy experience is preferred but land development engineers with strong civil site design backgrounds are often considered.
