We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Project Manager to support the planning, execution, and delivery of power utility construction projects. The ideal candidate will assist with project coordination, resource management, and communication with stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.


Responsibilities
  • Manage planning and scheduling construction activities related to electrical distribution, transmission, and substation projects.
  • Coordinate with field crews, subcontractors, suppliers, and utility clients to support daily operations.
  • Monitor project progress, budget status, and timelines; report on variances and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation including contracts, permits, change orders, and daily reports.
  • Help manage procurement of materials and ensure timely delivery to job sites.
  • Support compliance with local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations.
  • Attend project meetings and provide updates to internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Perform quality control inspections and assist with punch list development and closeout documentation.
  • Assist with cost tracking, billing, and preparation of project invoices.
  • Track project performance using Earned Value Management (EVM) principles to assess cost and schedule variances and provide accurate forecasts.
  • Prepare and present financial and performance reports, including cost-to-complete and earned value metrics.

Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil/Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred (equivalent experience considered).
    • 2+ years of experience in construction project coordination, preferably in utility infrastructure.
    • Familiarity with utility standards, NESC/NESC codes, and safety protocols (OSHA, DOT, etc.).
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with project management software (e.g., Primavera, Procore, or similar) a plus.
    • Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
    • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
    • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

Preferred Skills:

    • Experience working with investor-owned utilities or municipal power companies.
    • Knowledge of permitting processes, easement coordination, and utility relocation.
    • PMP, OSHA 30, or other relevant certifications a plus.
