Job description

Our client is looking for a Microsoft 365 & Azure Security Consultant to serve as a subject matter expert across Microsoft 365 and Azure environments for both internal teams and external clients. This is a highly visible, customer-facing role that combines cloud security, engineering, Microsoft 365 administration, consulting, and technology strategy.

The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys variety, can communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences, and is excited to stay current as Microsoft cloud and AI technologies continue to evolve.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the Microsoft 365 and Azure SME for internal teams and multiple external clients.
  • Develop and support strategies for OneDrive, Microsoft 365 Copilot, and AI-enabled solutions while maintaining strong security and data protection standards.
  • Establish and document Microsoft cloud security standards, governance, and best practices.
  • Evaluate Microsoft 365 and Azure capabilities and help clients understand how new features, licensing changes, and technology enhancements can benefit their organizations.
  • Monitor Microsoft 365 and Azure services for security, usage, and performance considerations.
  • Manage and monitor Microsoft 365 email quarantine processes.
  • Support the administration and ongoing development of SharePoint environments.
  • Help develop testing, governance, and deployment processes for AI-created applications running in Azure environments.
  • Partner with clients to understand their technology needs and recommend practical Microsoft cloud solutions.
  • Take ownership of assigned client relationships and technology initiatives.
  • Provide technical guidance and collaborate with Systems, Network, and other technology professionals.
  • Create documentation, standards, and processes that can be communicated and adopted across client environments.
  • Stay current on Microsoft 365, Azure, Copilot, AI, security, and cloud technology developments.
  • Participate in client meetings, presentations, technology discussions, and strategic planning sessions.


What You Bring

  • 3+ years of professional experience supporting Microsoft 365, Azure, cloud technologies, or a related environment.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure cloud services.
  • Hands-on experience with OneDrive and Microsoft 365 security, particularly around protecting sensitive or proprietary data.
  • Understanding of Microsoft 365 security, governance, permissions, policies, and data protection.
  • Experience with Microsoft Copilot or other AI capabilities within the Microsoft ecosystem.
  • Experience supporting or administering SharePoint Online.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft cloud security and modern workplace technologies.
  • Ability to research Microsoft technologies and translate new capabilities into practical recommendations.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and customer relationship skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with a small, highly technical team.
  • Curiosity and a desire to continually learn as Microsoft and AI technologies evolve.

Microsoft certifications are highly valued. Relevant certifications may include:
