Responsibilities
As an Advanced Systems Engineer within the Communication, Navigation & Surveillance (CN&S) organization, you will play help drive the design, development, implementation, and advancement of Honeywell's Next-Generation of Aircraft Weather Radar and related Integrated Avionics technologies.
In the high-stakes world of aviation, every detail matters, and your expertise will be fundamental in creating systems that protect lives and streamline operations. As part of a dedicated team, you will contribute to innovative engineering solutions that reimagine how we approach aircraft safety. In this role, you will not just enhance systems; you will actively shape the future of aviation safety.
  • Aircraft Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Flight Operations, to ensure seamless integration of our weather radar systems into our Flight Test aircrafts focusing on software versions and performance parameter configurations, while adhering to regulatory and safety standards.
  • Flight Test Execution: Design and oversee the execution of flight test plans to validate the performance and functionality of our weather radar systems under real-world scenarios.
  • Analyze flight data to identify potential performance issues and ensure that all system requirements are met prior to certification.
  • Model-Based Systems Design and Development (MSBE)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams consisting of systems, software, hardware and test engineers to understand customer requirements and provide innovative solutions
  • Author high-level systems requirements in DOORs
  • Conduct system-level analysis and optimization
  • Utilize MATLAB-based simulation tools
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of systems
  • Systems integration, validation, & verification
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies

Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
  • 4+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, ideally in the Avionics, Radar, Aerospace or related disciplines
