Job Summary
This position will be greeting and checking in students and visitors at the Welcome Desk & at the Splash Pad. They will assist all visitors, college employees and students with general questions, directions and events on campus. This position will triage students, assist with self-service, entering students into the QLess system, monitor ConexEd, provide general information, answer the department phone, monitor and respond to student emails, assist with basic international student enrollment as well as international student application information, and assist the team with programming needs.
Essential Functions
65% - College welcome representative: Greets students, visitors, and staff in a professional and welcoming manner. Serves as the primary point of contact via live chat, phone, email, and other virtual platforms, providing accurate information, answering questions, assisting with inquiries and student onboarding, offering guidance and directions, and ensuring a welcoming, student-centered experience that creates a positive first impression of the college. Responds to incoming calls and emails, directing inquiries to appropriate departments and providing accurate general information about campus services, admissions, and events. Assists prospective and current students with check-in processes, appointment scheduling, and elevated navigation of student services (e.g., admissions, advising, financial aid, international, testing, etc).
25% - Data Entry & Administrative Support including input visitor information, maintains records, updates spreadsheets, and assist with clerical tasks such as filing, copying, and document preparation. Maintains accurate records of student interactions in CRM systems, performs data entry, manage digital resources, and complete general administrative tasks. Provides basic technical assistance for student self service and navigating online systems while escalating complex issues. Processing of enrollment for students as needed.
10% - General Office Maintenance & Miscellaneous Tasks: Keeps the welcome center clean and organized. Supports welcome events, orientations, and outreach activities as needed. Performs other duties as assigned to support daily operations (i.e. assistance with programming)
Minimum Qualifications
A. Familiar with using SIS, QLess, ConedEx, Google suite
B. Dependable, strong customer service skills
C. Able to handle and organize high traffic area
D. Strong multitasking skills
