D amp;G is seeking an experienced Lessons Learned Support Analyst to support the planning, development, and execution of realistic exercise environments that replicate senior-level U.S. Government and Joint Staff operations.
What You Will Do
  • Observe, document, and gather observations and issues during Collective Training events. Facilitate lessons learned reviews during and following the event. Analyze observations to collate into command actionable issues and produce/publish reports outlined in SI 509-1. Prepare validated lessons learned from past Collective Training events for dissemination.
  • Provide feedback for after-action reviews; recommend improvements for follow-on GD events; prepare and conduct hotwash briefings and prepare and deliver after action reports.
  • Assist in the planning, preparation, maintenance/updating, and execution of USSTRATCOM collective periodic training events (e.g., GDs or similar media) including SLT, NC2 Demonstrations and annual Joint Staff Nuclear Procedures Inspection (NPI) preparation for USSTRATCOM staff, platforms, and subordinate commands.
  • Assist in the design, planning, rehearsal, quality control, and conduct of all GD events including airborne and fixed command centers across USSTRATCOM and the National Military Command System (NMCS).
  • Assist in the coordination, integration, and execution of GDs, demonstrations, TTXs, mini-exercises, or wargame events.
  • Assist in the design, planning, rehearsal, and conduct of CJCS NPI-Prep training events.
  • Other requirements as directed by the Program Manager
What We Are Looking For
Required
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in strategic studies, International Affairs, Military Studies, Public Policy, or related field preferred; equivalent military operational experience may be substituted.
  • Minimum 5 years of demonstrated relevant recent experience in Lessons Learned reporting support requirements as outlined in SI 509-01, Lessons Learned Program.
  • Understanding of USSTRATCOM-assigned UCP mission-sets, CJCS and USSTRATCOM EAP, National-level conferencing and decision-making concepts/processes, and/or CJCSI 3262.01M (Nuclear Command and Control Personnel Performance Objectives, Assessment Criteria, and Inspection Programs).
  • Ability to operate effectively in dynamic, high-tempo operational and exercise environments.
Clearance and Eligibility
  • Active TS/SCI clearance required.
