Job description

Position: Certified Scrub Tech – Orthopedics
Location: Granby, CO (Grand County, High Rockies – 1.5 hours from Denver)
Shift: Monday–Friday, Days (facility closed on weekends; minimal call/holiday coverage possible)

Position Summary

The Certified Scrub Tech plays an essential role in supporting surgical services, primarily in orthopedics (must have total joints/ortho experience), with additional involvement in general surgery and endoscopy. Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Scrub Tech ensures the sterile field is maintained, assists surgeons with instruments and supplies, and helps prepare and dismantle the operating room.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist surgeons with orthopedic procedures (total joints required; spinal experience preferred), general surgery, and endoscopy.

  • Maintain a detailed knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures to ensure safe, efficient operations.

  • Prepare, set up, and break down operating rooms under the guidance of circulating nurses.

  • May act as a circulating nurse as needed.

  • Maintain compliance with sterile technique and departmental protocols.

  • Collaborate closely with surgeons, physicians, and nursing staff to deliver high-quality patient care.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of orthopedic experience required (total joints mandatory; spinal preferred).

  • Current Colorado Surgical Technologist License (or eligibility).

  • Current CPR/BLS certification (or within 60 days of hire).

  • Knowledge of PAR lists and supply requisitions.

Compensation & Incentives

  • Pay range: $26.52 – $42.42/hr DOE

  • $10,000 Sign-On Bonus (full-time, permanent hires)

  • $350/month Housing Stipend (full-time, permanent hires residing in Grand, Jackson, or Summit Counties)
