This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day and Night shifts available: 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:30 or 19:00 - 07:30). Rotating shifts may be required to meet operational needs.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the Stepdown Unit. The position involves monitoring patients, administering medications, and collaborating with the healthcare team to enhance patient outcomes. There is a potential to float to various units, including J1-2, J33, and the ED.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care and monitor patients' progress.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine patient needs.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop patient care plans.
  • Educate patients and families on health management and promotion.
  • Float to other units as needed to ensure quality patient care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Must have 18 months of combined permanent registered nursing experience in a Stepdown or PCU setting.
  • Active RN license in Ohio or a compact state license required at time of submission.
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
  • Travel experience is preferred.
