About this roleResponsible for administering various tests, scoring and processing related materials. Conducts training for placement testing and responds to inquiries. Identifies and troubleshoots minor technical issues during the testing process as per established policies. Position requires the ability to work a fluctuating schedule, including nights and weekends.

What a day of a Test Center Representative looks like:

  • Sets up tests according to established protocol. Monitors the administration of various tests. Scans, scores and electronically submits test scores.

  • Responds to complex inquiries from all levels of employees or external sources regarding a variety of questions, such as clarification of College or Campus policy and procedures.

  • Directs students to proper portions of testing software and addresses minor problems.

  • Ensures security and confidentiality of State, national, and college tests and records, scoring procedures and data collection and reporting.

  • Provides students with disabilities with reading and scribe services.

  • Welcomes and assists persons who come into the department.

  • Provides administrative support to the department.

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED with additional training related to the position

  • One year of related experience

Knowledge of:

  • Microsoft Office Professional or similar application

Skilled in:

  • Attention to detail while maintaining effective time and task management

Ability to:

  • Effectively communicate verbally and in writing on a regular basis with internal and external customers, build relationships, manage customer expectations and take responsibility for a high level of service

Licenses, Registration, Certifications, or Special Requirements:

  • Regular physical attendance required

Work Environment and Physical Demand:

  • Reach and grasp objects

  • Stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl

  • Stand for extended periods of time

  • Use of video display terminal

  • Use of manual dexterity and fine motor skills
