Job description

This opportunity offers a dynamic role for a licensed pharmacist with a strong clinical background to support therapeutic interchange reviews in a remote call center environment. The position focuses on delivering high-quality Clinical Medication Therapy Management (MTM) consulting to patients by assessing prescriptions, monitoring medication compliance, and providing critical patient education.

Location: Remote (original location in Keller, TX)

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday
  • 11:30 AM to 7:30 PM

Contract Duration: 14 weeks with a chance for direct hire

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review prescriptions for therapeutic interchanges and accept/dispense medications accurately
  • Monitor patients for medication compliance and detect patterns of overuse
  • Ensure medication supply complies with legal standards and prescriptions are appropriate for patients
  • Maintain confidential patient records with precision and manage pharmacy documentation
  • Counsel patients regarding medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions
  • Provide additional health services including smoking cessation guidance, blood pressure monitoring, and cholesterol management
  • Educate patients on proper use of medical devices like blood pressure monitors and glucose meters
  • Compound medications as needed for internal or external use
  • Identify medication-related issues and communicate effectively with healthcare providers including physicians and nurses
