Job description

Job Overview
EDM Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) equipment to produce precision parts and components. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to develop their skills in machining, fabrication, and manufacturing processes within a dynamic factory environment. Your proactive approach and commitment to quality will contribute significantly to our production goals and overall success. Responsibilities

Sussex WI

2nd Shift 3pm - 11pm (trains on 1st shift)

3rd Shift, 11:30pm - 7:30am (trains on 1st shift)

  • Operate wire-EDM machines as required
  • Communicate with Shift Supervisor daily for job assignments and instructions
  • Load wire and other machining media into machine
  • Review setup sheet, quality routing, inspection data, and specifications for detailed operation procedures, machining sequence, and dimensions of finished workpiece
  • Load control media or retrieve preprogrammed machine instructions from data base
  • Adjust machine parameters and flushing conditions to maximize cutting efficiency when required
  • Observe and listen to machine operation to detect malfunctions
  • Measure workpiece for conformance to specifications, using various inspection media, recording data when required
  • General machine maintenance, housekeeping, and organization of shop (filters, machine watering, DI, used wire collection, floor care, fixture cleaning, etc.)
