Job description

Job Description A manufacturing company is seeking a Finish Grinder to work second shift from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. Job Duties:
  • Set-up and tend Grinding Machines to grind various cutting inserts with materials such as PCD, PCBN, Carbide, and Ceramic
  • Operate machine tools such as manual and CNC Grinders to produce parts
  • Follow instructions and charts during grinding procedure
  • Review electronic or written blueprints or specifications for a job
  • Determine grinding speeds and feed rates, fixturing, and grinding wheel to be used
  • Use manual and computer-controlled machinery, write basic programs, and modify programs in response to problems
  • Perform other duties as required
Job Requirements Job Qualifications:
  • Must be able to set-up and operate Grinding Machines
  • Must have the ability to grind various cutting inserts with materials such as PCD, PCBN, Carbide, and Ceramic
  • Must have the ability to review electronic or written blueprints or specifications
  • Must be able to write and modify basic programs
  • Must be motivated, dependable, and reliable
