Job description

The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Its end-to-end Command, Control, Computers, Communications and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities encompass design, integration, test, certification, ground/flight training and complete logistics support. IAS tailors solutions to customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements and designs to consistently exceed expectations - with an unrivaled record of on time and on (or under) budget deliveries. Responsibilities: * Design and develop electrical/electronic systems.
* In some applications, develop circuit card assemblies.
* Implement electrical wiring design practices.
* Conduct testing and validation of electronic systems and components.
* Perform troubleshooting and debugging of electronic circuits.
* Develop and document technical designs, test plans, and results.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product requirements are met.
* Participate in design reviews and provide technical insights.
* Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance. Qualifications You Must Have: * Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
* 2+ years of experience in electrical engineering or a related role.
* Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
* Proficiency in electrical/electronic circuit design and testing techniques.
* Knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
* Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools.
* Familiarity with working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
* Ability to obtain maintain U.S. secret security clearance Qualifications We Prefer: * Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
* Experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software for electrical applications.
* Understanding of aerospace and defense industry standards.
* Exposure to simulations through functional and logical models and system analysis.
* Exposure to FAA electrical system regulations, including Electrical Wiring Interconnection System (EWIS) requirements.
* Exposure to electrical/electronic Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and System Safety Assessment (SSA) concepts.
* Understanding of an Electrical Load Analysis (ELA).
* Experience with circuit modeling, simulation, and analysis.
* Knowledge of electrical component selection and manufacturing.
* Understanding Electromagnetic Effects (EME) to include Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI).
* Experience in digital or analog circuit design and schematic capture.
* Understanding of the printed circuit board layout process and tools. Essential Functions: * Ability to work on a computer for extended periods.
* Ability to travel as required.
* Ability to work in an office or hybrid environment.
* Precision in designing, testing and troubleshooting electrical/electronic systems and components.
* Ability to analyze complex electrical/electronic systems and evaluate performance data to identify problems and improve designs.
* Applying systematic and logical problem-solving techniques to diagnose and resolve electrical/electronic issues.
* Clearly convey technical information, design specifications, and project updates to team members, stakeholders, and management.
* Ability to understand technical documents, electrical/electronic schematics, and electronic instrument measurements.

Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
