Geriatric Medicine opening in Indiana - Located in *Mishawaka, IN* - 105 miles from Chicago - Full-time, permanent position - FM or IM Trained - Must be fellowship trained - Competitive compensation and benefits!Candidates must be Family Medicine or Internal Medicine residency trained and Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine and Board Eligible or already hold a Certificate of Added Qualifications (CAQ) in Geriatric Medicine. Additional requirements include a minimum of one year of documented experience working with a frail or elderly population (in addition to the 12 months of Geriatric fellowship training), previous supervisory experience, and a Controlled Dangerous Substances (CDS) certificate and DEA registration. Candidates must also have strong clinical assessment and problem-solving skills and exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.The Medical Director provides general medical direction and supervision of the medical aspects of participant care, and is responsible for the delivery of participant care, clinical outcomes, and oversight of the Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) program. The Medical Director is responsible for the development and maintenance of medical policies and procedures/standards and protocols and provides direction and supervision to related Primary Care Providers (PCPs). The Medical Director provides leadership and guidance to the program colleagues and providers in the local community.
