Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Systems Admin to join an exciting technology team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise IT infrastructure and systems. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of business-critical systems.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and support server, network, and cloud infrastructure environments.
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and security to ensure optimal operation.
  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
  • Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and identity management solutions.
  • Support virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or similar platforms.
  • Administer cloud services including Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, procedures, and technical standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and systems issues.
  • Implement backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with security best practices.
  • Participate in infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and technology projects.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to IT staff and end users as needed.
  • Maintain system patches, software updates, and vulnerability remediation efforts.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in systems administration, systems engineering, or infrastructure support.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server and/or Linux environments.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, routing, switching, DNS, and firewalls.
  • Experience supporting cloud-based infrastructure and services.
  • Familiarity with backup, recovery, and high-availability solutions.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator; Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator, VMware VCP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, CompTIA Server+, or similar.
  • Experience with automation and scripting tools such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
