Job Description

Position: Hadoop Performance Tester

Location: Schaumburg IL

Duration: 6 Months

Job Description: 

Must be able to run Performance Tests on Hadoop(Primarily) and report out relevant Metrics 

Must be able to create and present proper Performance test Strategies and Plans 

Must be able to create good test scripts - Must be able to Run and or Strategize Performance Tests from different Layers (Data Repository -- HDFS, Data Refinery - Yarn, Map Reduce, Data Factory - Pig, Hive Etc) layers. 

Must communicate with Product Architects and Configuration Management Teams to make necessary changes in the system depending on the metrics reported 

Must have good Monitoring Skills and must know the relevant metrics to report - This is a must. 

Must have good knowledge of using any inbuilt monitoring utilities if any. 

Must be able to create meaningful reports based on the performance tests to report to the upper management. 

Must coordinate with various teams to work around environmental constraints 

Must be a team player 

Must have good communication skills and be able to work with various teams. 

6-8 years of experience in performance testing (preferably Hadoop cluster). 

Good Communications Skills. 

Knowledge and Experience on Test Management and Defect Management Tools
