Purpose of the position: To prepare and serve food in accordance with government rules and regulations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (Functions essential to attaining job objectives):
Strategic Goal Area I-Student Achievement
1. Serves students healthy meals on a daily basis in order to support student learning.
Strategic Goal Area II-Stakeholder Engagement and Loyalty
  1. Works under the direction of the School Nutrition Manager/Assistant Manager.
  2. Demonstrates the ability to work with the school community.
Strategic Goal Area III-Efficient and Effective Operational Processes
  1. Practices proper procedures in food preparation, use and care of equipment, and personal habits to assure that sanitation standards are met.
  2. Follows standards of safety in preparing, storing, and serving food.
  3. Participates in implementing promotions related to the program.
Strategic Goal Area IV-Continuous System and School Improvement
1. Attends job-related training classes and workshops (All employees must complete SL1 or O.N.E. class).
OTHER EXPECTATIONS
  1. Adhere to the Code of Ethics for Educators in Georgia
