Performance Nutrition Interns are students or recent graduates who assist sports nutrition professionals in supporting athletes' nutritional needs. They help with tasks such as meal planning, nutrition education, and research to optimize athletic performance and recovery. Interns often work under the supervision of registered dietitians or sports nutritionists and gain hands-on experience in both individual and team settings. This role is ideal for those pursuing careers in sports nutrition or dietetics and provides exposure to the daily operations of performance nutrition programs.

Interns often work closely with athletes, coaches, and sports medicine staff, gaining hands-on experience in both individual and group settings. These responsibilities provide a strong foundation in applied sports nutrition and offer valuable exposure to multidisciplinary teamwork in an athletic environment.
