Description:

NCDOT is seeking a Senior Level Specialist in Performance Testing for a 12 month engagement to provide testing support with the DOT IT Enterprise Testing Team. The support consists of software testing of new releases/upgrades to applications developed by DOT IT for deployment. The individual must have proven experience with developing test documents, automated test scripts and testing web applications with complex interfaces across technology platforms. Experience with HP's suite of testing tools (ALM/Quality Center, Quick Test Professional, LoadRunner/Performance Center and SiteScope) is required.


Review and analysis of project requirements for clarity, understanding and testability
Development of system test plans and manual test cases
Development of automatic test scripts for functional and performance testing
Execution of the test cases and test scripts
Defect management and reporting
Providing input or creating testing artifacts to include but not be limited to test plans, test results, metrics and defect reports
Providing weekly status reports to management


Required Skills:

  • Experience testing business web applications and complex business applications across technologies
  • Experience with developing automated test scripts
  • Experience developing testing approach, test environment requirements and data strategies
  • Strong Microsoft Suite experience (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to learn complex business functions
  • Computer Science Degree or related discipline; professional certification
