What do performance interns do?

As a Performance Intern, you’ll typically assist with collecting and analyzing data related to system or application performance, preparing reports, and supporting senior team members in identifying bottlenecks or inefficiencies. You may also participate in performance testing, help develop scripts or tools to automate testing processes, and collaborate with software engineers or data analysts. This hands-on experience allows you to build technical skills and gain exposure to real-world problem-solving in a team-oriented environment. Interns often have the chance to present findings and contribute to process improvements, which can be valuable for future career growth.

What skills and qualifications are needed to thrive as a performance intern?

To thrive as a Performance Intern, you typically need a foundational understanding of exercise science, kinesiology, or sports performance, often supported by relevant coursework or enrollment in a related degree program. Familiarity with fitness assessment tools, data tracking systems, and commonly used gym equipment is important.
