Responsibilities

THE ROLE: 

AMD seeks a passionate, collaborative leader with strong technical skills. You will manage an expert team of over twenty Formal Verification Engineers and help us grow and expand our capabilities and scope.

THE PERSON: 

The ideal candidate has extensive experience with FPV and believes the industry should use more of it.  You also have experience leading and managing engineers. You have excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Lead a high-performance Formal Verification team and nurture talent
  • Lead and improve best-in-class methodology for full Formal Signoff
  • Plan, execute, and meet verification commitments on critical IPs that are used in every AMD product
  • Collaborate with leaders of other teams to drive AMD's success 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

  • A strong leader with experience:
    • Managing high performance engineering teams
    • Mentoring and coaching engineers with a wide seniority range
    • Improving team efficiency with automation
    • Planning projects and meeting commitments
  • Hands-on technical experience:
    • Strong past in Formal Verification
    • Prior experience with other verification methods
    • Other chip development experience is beneficial
  • Strong communications skills for all audiences
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
  • Must be a self-starter and self-motivated 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

  • Bachelors or greater degree in computer or electrical engineering
