Performance Driver information

What are performance drivers?

Performance drivers, also known as professional race car drivers or stunt drivers, are individuals who operate vehicles at high speeds or in demanding conditions for competitive racing, testing, or entertainment purposes. Their main role is to push vehicles to their limits, often in motorsport events, automotive testing, or for film and television productions. They require advanced driving skills, quick reflexes, and a deep understanding of vehicle mechanics and dynamics. Performance drivers often work with teams to optimize vehicle performance and ensure safety during high-speed maneuvers.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Performance Driver, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Performance Driver, you need advanced driving skills, in-depth knowledge of vehicle dynamics, and often a valid professional racing or high-performance driving license. Familiarity with telemetry systems, data analysis tools, and industry-standard safety equipment is crucial. Exceptional focus, quick decision-making, and strong communication skills help drivers adapt to rapidly changing conditions and work effectively with teams. These abilities are essential for achieving peak vehicle performance, ensuring safety, and succeeding in competitive or testing environments.

What are some common challenges faced by Performance Drivers, and how can they be overcome?

Performance Drivers often face challenges such as adapting to different vehicles, managing high-pressure situations during competitions or testing, and maintaining peak physical and mental condition. To overcome these challenges, drivers typically undergo rigorous training to familiarize themselves with various car dynamics, work closely with technical teams to fine-tune vehicle performance, and follow strict fitness and nutrition regimens. Effective communication with engineers and consistent practice are key to success in this dynamic and demanding role.

Job description

Digital Video Performance Analyst
POSITION OVERVIEW
BMG360 is a performance marketing agency operating at the intersection of creativity and conversion and we're continuously growing our digital video and Connected TV practice. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated, analytical thinker to get in on the ground floor of a fast-expanding team, learn the ins and outs of BMG360's CTV product performance, and help shape how we measure success across campaigns.
The Digital Video Performance Analyst will own campaign analysis, reporting, and optimization support across digital video channels like YouTube, Connected TV (CTV/OTT), streaming, and programmatic video while also contributing to media planning, client engagement, and partner discovery. This person thrives on digging into data, spotting trends, and translating complex performance signals into clear, actionable insights that drive measurable client outcomes.
The Analyst works cross-functionally with Media, Analytics, Creative, and Client Services teams and reports into senior media investment leadership. Strong candidates will have hands-on experience analyzing digital marketing data from platforms such as YouTube, Google DV360, The Trade Desk, or similar DSPs, with a solid understanding of direct response KPIs and performance measurement.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Campaign Management amp; Analysis
  • Build and manage CTV and digital video campaigns from concept to execution, ensuring alignment with client goals and KPIs
  • Monitor daily campaign delivery across YouTube, CTV/OTT, programmatic video, and emerging streaming platforms; make real-time adjustments to optimize reach, engagement, and conversion
  • Track and report on key performance metrics: CPA, CPL, cost per call, view-through rate (VTR), completion rate, ROAS, and delivery metrics
  • Identify trends, performance drivers, and optimization opportunities across platforms and audience segments
  • Develop and maintain performance benchmarks across video channels to inform planning and forecasting
Media Planning amp; Strategy
  • Develop comprehensive media plans that integrate CTV and digital video into broader cross-channel strategies
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure media plans are aligned with clients' marketing objectives and performance metrics
  • Assist in forecasting and scenario modeling for campaign deliverables (ie: calls, leads, conversions) given current costs, clearance rates, and pacing
  • Support testing strategies related to creative, targeting, frequency, and spend allocation across video channels
  • Partner with Media Managers to evaluate performance impact of optimizations and budget shifts
Client Engagement
  • Serve as a point of contact for assigned clients, leading regular communication via email and scheduled calls or meetings
  • Understand client needs, present media strategies and campaign updates, and provide clear performance reporting with actionable recommendations
  • Lead or support client calls to discuss strategy, share data insights, and propose optimizations — communicating complex performance data in accessible, business-relevant terms
  • Send daily and weekly reporting to clients showing calls or orders generated, invoicing, and account status
  • Manage client expectations, keep accounts current and funded, and proactively identify areas of opportunity or risk
Reporting amp; Data Integrity
  • Pull, validate, and organize performance data from platforms including YouTube Studio, DV360, The Trade Desk, Yahoo DSP, Roku, and proprietary reporting tools
  • Prepare recurring daily, weekly, and monthly reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders and clients
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of data across all reporting sources; flag and resolve discrepancies
  • Build and maintain reporting infrastructure that scales across multiple client accounts and campaigns
  • Support log-level data analysis and attribution modeling for CTV and video campaigns
  • Document optimization changes and outcomes to build institutional knowledge
Partner Discovery amp; Platform Intelligence
  • Explore new CTV media partners and technologies to ensure the agency is staying ahead of industry trends and expanding client reach
  • Build and maintain relationships with media partners; evaluate potential opportunities and bring forward recommendations
  • Maintain working knowledge of the digital video ecosystem: YouTube (brand vs. performance formats), CTV/OTT inventory, programmatic video supply paths, and DSP capabilities
  • Monitor platform updates, algorithm changes, and measurement developments across YouTube, Google, and major DSPs that may impact campaign performance
  • Contribute to BMG360's CTV/PVN practice by documenting platform learnings, audience insights, and channel-specific performance patterns
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Media, Analytics, Creative, and Client Services teams to ensure cohesive strategies and flawless campaign execution
  • Collaborate with the creative team to analyze video ad performance by creative variant and surface optimization recommendations
  • Contribute to internal training and knowledge sharing to elevate team performance
  • Maintain organized documentation, reporting assets, and workflow processes
REQUIREMENTS
Experience amp; Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Analytics, Statistics, Business, or a related field
  • 2–4 years of experience in digital marketing analytics, performance marketing, or media analytics and agency experience is preferred
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing digital marketing data from platforms such as YouTube, Google Ads, DV360, The Trade Desk, Meta Ads Manager, or comparable DSPs/ad platforms
  • Hands-on experience with CTV, programmatic video, or streaming campaign management and data analysis is a significant plus
