Job Description

Performance Contracting is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator - Interior Services for its Dallas, TX #114 operations based in Midlothian, TX. This individual will provide estimating services for PCI interior services scopes of work.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare Requests for Proposal (RFP) for applicable scopes of work
  • Receive and evaluate subcontractor quotes for applicable scopes and their alignment with bid documents
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with the local customer base to support PCI’s Customer Alignment objectives
  • Work directly with owners, construction managers, architects, engineers, and contractors
  • Attend pre‑bid site walk‑throughs
  • Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and estimates
  • Dissect projects into functional stages
  • Carefully review project schedules related to applicable scopes
  • Write detailed proposals, maintaining accuracy and ensuring completeness
  • Prepare bid analyses and conduct bid reviews
  • Prepare financial job cost analyses
  • Source subcontractors, materials, and equipment while evaluating competitive pricing
  • Provide training and leadership to other members of the Estimating team, as needed
  • Maintain accountability and ownership of business metrics and sales plans
  • Participate in bid strategy meetings for all major pursuits

Salary range is between $110,000 - $130,000. This position is safety sensitive.

Basic Requirements
  • Must have at least 5-7 years’ experience estimating construction projects
  • Must have at least 10 years of total experience within the construction industry
  • Experience with estimating or managing specialty scopes of construction
  • Strong ability to read, understand, and interpret specifications and drawings for PCI’s scopes of work, specifications, materials, and methods
  • Has a record of establishing and maintaining strong customer relationships
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and customer service skills
  • Possess a high level of attention to detail and cost analysis skills
  • Ability to accurately read project schedules to determine sequencing and durations of scopes of work
  • Proficiency with computer takeoff and estimating software such as On‑Screen Takeoff and Quick Bid
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (e.g., Excel, Word), Bluebeam Revu, Procore, or PlanSwift
  • Ability to work effectively both in a collaborative team environment and independently
  • Has capacity and willingness to expand upon or acquire new knowledge about product lines/scopes
  • Possess critical‑thinking and problem‑solving skills
Preferred Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or related discipline
  • Experience with drywall, framing, acoustics, insulation, ceilings, and flooring.
  • OSHA certification
  • Experience working with union representatives
  • Local to the greater DFW area.
