Performance Center information

What is a performance center?

A Performance Center is a specialized facility or department focused on optimizing the performance of individuals, teams, or systems. In sports, it refers to a center where athletes receive comprehensive training, rehabilitation, and performance analysis. In the business or IT context, a Performance Center may be a team or platform dedicated to monitoring, testing, and improving the performance of software applications or business operations. The main goal is to enhance overall outcomes through data-driven strategies and specialized resources.

What are some performance center jobs?

Performance center jobs typically include roles such as performance analyst, trainer, coach, or technician, focusing on optimizing athletic or operational performance. These positions often require knowledge of training techniques, data analysis, and sometimes certifications in sports science or related fields. Employees may work in sports facilities, training centers, or corporate performance environments to improve individual or team results.

What are the typical responsibilities of a performance center specialist, and how do they collaborate with other departments?

A Performance Center specialist is primarily responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing the performance of athletes or clients using state-of-the-art equipment and data-driven techniques. They often conduct fitness assessments, develop personalized training programs, and track progress over time. Collaboration is key, as specialists frequently work alongside coaches, physical therapists, nutritionists, and sports scientists to ensure a holistic approach to performance improvement. Regular communication and teamwork help deliver the best outcomes for clients while fostering a supportive and dynamic work environment.

Job description

Are you a talented and motivated PT looking for an opportunity toย provide high quality, one-on-one patient careย in a unique PT/sports performance center?ย

Elite Sports Performance & Physical Therapyย inย Stoughton,ย MA is looking for a skilled and passionate physical therapist to join our growing team! Our comprehensive team consists of physical therapists, sports performance coaches, and personal trainers dedicated to providing the best in orthopedic and sports physical therapy, sports performance training, and adult fitness training, all under one roof. Our unique facility includes a PT clinic, fully-equipped fitness center, and sports performance center for both general orthopedic and athlete rehabilitation and performance training, including specialized training equipment and a large turf training area for functional training, agility/plyometric work, and return-to-sport rehab.ย

Quality patient care is our number one goal. We employ aย one-on-one treatment modelย to allow you to provide the quality patient care that you value and our patients deserve. We operate with a 40-minute individual session model and avoid doubling patients. We do not use PT Aides as all of our therapy is performed by the primary PT to ensure the highest quality care to our patients and the ideal treatment experience for our dedicated clinicians. Because our facility includes a fitness center and sports performance center, we attract an active, motivated patient population that ranges from general orthopedics to youth, college and professional athletes.ย

Job Requirements:ย

  • Current PT license for MA (or interest in obtaining licensure in MA)ย
  • Previous clinical experience in an orthopedic/sports PT outpatient setting (including student affiliation experience)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
  • High level of professionalism and passion for orthopedic/sports PT
  • Interest in pursuing board-certification (i.e. OCS, SCS) in the future is a plus but not required
  • Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team
  • Availability to work at least 2 later shifts (i.e. 11 AM - 7:40 PM or similar) per week as part of a 40-hr work week.ย

Why Choose Elite?ย

  • Competitive salaries, performance-based bonus program, sign-on bonus, and relocation assistance.
  • Generous benefits package including student loan assistance program, employer-matched 401(K) plan and comprehensive health insurance (health, vision, and dental).
  • Extensive opportunity for and reimbursement of continuing education and professional development.
  • Mentorship for early-career clinicians and commitment to helping you grow and develop professionally.
  • Great company culture focused on teamwork, professional development, fun, and above all, excellent patient care.

We are continuing to grow, and offer excellent opportunities for professional growth for talented, motivated PTs who demonstrate a passion for the field and an interest in growing with us.
