Job description

HTF Staffing is seeking dedicated Paraprofessionals and Behavior Technicians (BTs) for full-time school-based opportunities supporting K–5 students.

Position Details:

  • Positions Available: 3
  • Age Group: Kindergarten–5th Grade
  • Hours: 35–40 hours per week
  • Setting: School-Based Special Education
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • End Date: May 28th, 2027

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and/or classroom support to students with behavioral and developmental needs.
  • Support students with ADHD, non-verbal autism, elopement behaviors, and occasional physical aggression such as hitting.
  • Implement behavior support strategies and follow individualized behavior plans.
  • Promote a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment.
  • Assist students with academic, behavioral, social, and daily classroom needs.
  • Communicate and collaborate with teachers, behavior specialists, and school staff.
  • Monitor student behavior and document progress as required.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with students with behavioral or special education needs preferred.
  • Experience supporting students with autism, ADHD, elopement, or challenging behaviors is highly valued.
  • Paraprofessional or Behavior Technician (BT) experience preferred.
  • Strong patience, communication, and de-escalation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a school-based team.
