Job description

POSITION:ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
DEPARTMENT:ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  Emergency Medical Services
HOURS:ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  .6 FTE (48 hours per pay period) rotating days/nights including weekends and holidays

WAGE RANGE:ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย $20.77 - $26.71
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The fundamental responsibilityย of the EMT-B is to conserve life, to alleviate suffering, to promote health, to do no harm and to encourage the quality and equal availability of emergency medical care.ย  The EMT-B is qualified in pre-hospital emergency care and services by a competency-based education program.ย  The standard of practice of the EMT-B shall be in accordance with the utmostย current edition "Emergency Medical Technician:ย  National Standard Curriculum."

EDUCATION/TRAINING:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.ย 
  • Some advanced education preferred.
  • Possess a valid State Driver's License
  • Current stateย or National Registryย EMT-B Certification
  • Driving record in compliance with AMR policy regarding insurability.

SKILL(S):

  • Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.

EXPERIENCE:ย 

  • Some past work experience, preferably in healthcare desired.ย
