Job description

Hourly Pay Range:
$36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery Per Diem - Night Shift
Position Highlights:
  • Position: Per Diem, Registered Nurse for Labor and Delivery and postpartum
  • Location: Evanston and Highland Park Hospitals
  • Full Time/Part Time: Per Diem
  • Hours: Night shift 2300-0730 and 1900-0730; weekend and holiday requirements per level agreement
  • Per Diem Commitment Level: Per Diem Level 1: 32-72 hrs. or Per Diem Level 2: 73-110 hrs. or Per Diem Level 3: 111-144 hrs./ per 6-week schedule
  • Required Travel: Evanston and Highland Hospital

What you will do:
  • Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for labor and delivery and postpartum patients
  • Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care
  • Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care
  • Communicate and collaborate with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care
  • Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience

What you will need:
  • License: Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required
  • Education: Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required; BSN strongly preferred
  • Certification: BLS/ ACLS/PALS / NRP Certification for the Healthcare Provider required. (AHA)
  • Experience: A minimum two years of recent acute care clinical experience in Labor and Delivery and postpartum experience required
  • Unique or Preferred Skills: Labor and Delivery and postpartum experience required
