Job description

Main Street Anesthesia is currently seeking a Cardiac Anesthesiologist to complete our three (3) doctor team at the thriving downtown Albuquerque Lovelace Heart Hospital of New Mexico, as part of collaborative and team-oriented MDA/CRNA cardiac team that staffs 5-6 locations each day. If cardiac anesthesia is your passion, come join the Main Street Cardiac Anesthesia Team that prioritizes quality patient care, innovation, and cutting-edge technology.

  • 1099 position
  • 17 weeks off per year!
    • New graduates (fellows) are welcome to apply.
    • Cardiac Fellowship and Perioperative Echo Board Certification preferred.
    • Non fellows with cardiac experience welcome to apply.
    • Peri-operative Echocardiography Board Certified or eligible.
  • Call is split evenly between 3 MDA team:
    • 1/3 of weekdays working plus on-call
    • 1/3 of weekdays working and not on-call
    • 1/3 of weekends call only
    • Call back hours light (average 8-12 hours per month)

Case Detail:

  • Approximately 500 open heart procedures consisting of CABGs, valve repairs and replacements, complex aortic work, LVADs, Impellas, and ECMO cases. No heart transplants.
  • In our hybrid suites we cover approximately 250 TAVRs, 50 MitraClips, EVARs, and TCARs. Multitude of open re-vascularization procedures

Compensation:

  • $680K-$690K (daily base pay and call back hours)
    • $10k annual bonus potential (paid quarterly)
  • $75K sign-on/ relocation bonus (3-year commitment)

About the Facility:

Lovelace Heart Hospital of New Mexico is a 57-bed boutique facility specializing in Heart and Major Vascular Surgery. The facility contains 3 ORs, 2 state-of-the-art Hybrid suites, 3 EP procedure rooms covered by independent, highly skilled CRNAs, and a robust cath lab program.
