What is Per Diem Virtual Moonlighting?

Per Diem Virtual Moonlighting refers to healthcare professionals, such as physicians, working extra shifts online or remotely, usually outside their primary job, and getting paid per day or per shift. This allows providers to supplement their income by offering medical consultations, telehealth services, or other clinical tasks during their off-hours. The 'per diem' aspect means work is on an as-needed basis, without a long-term commitment, and 'virtual' indicates that the work is performed remotely via telemedicine platforms.

How do Per Diem Virtual Moonlighting roles typically integrate with a provider's primary employment and what are the scheduling expectations?

Per Diem Virtual Moonlighting positions are designed to offer medical professionals flexible opportunities to supplement their primary roles. What are the disadvantages of per diem work?

Per diem virtual moonlighting jobs often lack consistent hours and income, as work is scheduled on a short-term or as-needed basis. These roles may also offer fewer benefits, such as health insurance or paid time off, and can require self-management of schedules and taxes, making income less predictable and stable.

What is the highest paying per diem job?

Per diem virtual moonlighting jobs in healthcare, such as specialized nursing or medical consulting roles, tend to offer the highest pay rates, often exceeding standard hourly wages due to their flexibility and specialized skills.
