To thrive as a Per Diem Vet Tech, you need a solid understanding of animal anatomy, clinical procedures, and veterinary pharmacology, usually supported by completion of a veterinary technician program and state credentialing. Familiarity with veterinary practice management software, laboratory equipment, and digital radiography systems is typically required. Strong communication, adaptability, and the ability to work independently make someone stand out in this role.
