Job description

Location: Milwaukee, WI

Compensation: $22/hour — 30-day performance review with opportunity to increase to $24/hour, $100 per diem on days worked if over 60 miles away
Shift: 1st or 2nd shift
Hours: Up to 60 hours/week; additional OT may be available with supervisor approval


Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and install electrical components inside large steel generator enclosures and modular electrical equipment enclosures.
  • Pre-assemble electrical kits and prepare components for installation.
  • Perform light fabrication, including drilling, forming, wire stripping, and crimping.
  • Read and follow blueprints, bills of materials, and work instructions.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices to complete assemblies.
  • Assist with routing, securing, and connecting electrical components and wiring.
  • Handle materials and components within large enclosure assemblies.

Qualifications

  • Ability to learn and follow blueprints and bills of materials.
  • Comfortable using basic hand and measuring tools.
  • Conduit/pipe bending.
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn electrical assembly processes.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve basic problems.
  • Motivated to learn new skills and grow within the position.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to climb ladders and work safely in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Must be willing to work either 1st or 2nd shift.

Requirements

  • Must pass a written competency test on the first day.
  • Must successfully complete a physical assessment.
  • Must pass a standard background check.
  • Must pass a 5-panel pre-employment drug test.
