We currently have an exceptional career opportunity for a Per Diem Registered Nurse to join our team in New London, CT at SCADD's Withdrawal Management Program

Responsibilities:
  • Perform initial nursing assessments of clients and document ongoing assessments of clients that are response to treatment.
  • Perform admissions of clients.
  • Develop, implement, record, and evaluate nursing care plans according to age and specific needs of clients.
  • Participate in or supervise the nursing care of clients, providing direct physical care measures as needed.
  • Act as a primary nurse working with individual clients and coordinating their treatment.
  • Execute the medical regimen of care as prescribed by the physician.
  • Educate the client and family toward an understanding of health and illness and the plans for post-discharge care.
  • Respond to medical and psychiatric emergency needs of clients.
  • Run client recovery groups.
Job Requirements:
  • Current State of Connecticut - Department of Public Health Registered Nurse License (RN)
  • CPR certification.
  • Computer Literate
  • Experience in behavioral health / substance abuse field preferred.
