Job description

RISE Housing and Support Services has opportunities for per diem RNs at our intensive support residence, SunRISE Retreat, and our rehabilitation program, RISE Above. A successful candidate will enjoy supporting program residents with their mental health or substance use recovery.

RISE offers a Per Diem RN Program Nurse:

  • A starting base wage of $38 per hour
  • A $500 bonus after 6 months of employment
  • Available shifts to fit any schedule, including evenings, nights, and weekends
  • An opportunity to gain experience in a human services field in a growing organization that likes to promote from within
  • Opportunities to advance into full-time and part-time positions

Overview of Job Responsibilities:

  • Providing supervision to program LPNs on shift
  • Supporting admissions, discharges, and treatment planning
  • Assisting in acclimating residents to physical surroundings, program philosophy and expectations
  • Participating in crisis intervention
  • Complying with all relevant regulations governing the programs

To qualify you must:

  • Be a certified Registered Nurse in New York
  • Have an ability to operate independently, think on your feet, and follow your training
  • Possess excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
