Key Responsibilities

As an LCSW, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive clinical assessments for patients facing terminal illnesses, understanding their emotional and psychological needs.
• Developing personalized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based interventions, tailored to each patient's specific circumstances and preferences.
• Utilizing therapeutic techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to help patients navigate their mental health challenges.
• Documenting all clinical interactions and maintaining accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, contributing to a high standard of care management.
• Collaborating with healthcare teams, including physicians, palliative care specialists, and nursing staff, to ensure holistic and coordinated care for all patients.
• Engaging in regular case consultations and peer review sessions to share best practices and enhance the quality of care delivered.
• Providing educational resources and emotional support to families navigating the complexities of end-of-life care and grief.
• Staying informed about the latest developments in mental health practices and integrating new knowledge into your clinical approach.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will focus on a diverse array of patients undergoing end-of-life transitions and their families. This critical population requires sensitivity and advanced therapeutic skills to cope with profound grief and emotional distress. You will play a significant role in enhancing their quality of life by providing compassionate mental health support that considers the psychological impact of terminal illness.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• A valid license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Pennsylvania.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience providing psychotherapy services in a clinical setting, preferably with an emphasis on hospice or end-of-life care.
• Solid understanding of solution-based psychotherapeutic interventions and techniques.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to connect with patients and families compassionately.

Preferred Experience
