Salary:

Per Diem Field RN Home Health, IHSS & ILST

Greeley & Northglenn, CO | Nursing Field |

Company Overview

At Andrea's Angels, we believe home is more than a placeit's a sanctuary where healing happens best. We're committed to providing holistic, personalized care that empowers individuals and enriches lives.

Every day, our compassionate team of professionals brings comfort, dignity, and vitality to the people we serve. We build lasting relationships with clients and their families through trust, empathy, and open communicationbecause we don't just provide home healthcare; we provide hope, healing, and a brighter tomorrow.

Position Summary

Andrea's Angels is seeking experienced Registered Nurses for per diem, field-based work in the Greeley and Northglenn service areas. This is a fee-for-service position compensated per completed visit, with scheduling built around the availability each nurse provides.

RNs in this role work across three programs skilled home health, In-Home Support Services (IHSS), and Independent Living Skills Training (ILST) performing in-home assessments, clinical monitoring, caregiver training and oversight, and skills-based instruction depending on the client and program assignment.

The position offers clinical autonomy in the field without fixed shift commitments, mandatory overtime, or on-call requirements. It is well suited to nurses supplementing full-time employment, transitioning out of acute care, or seeking flexible part-time clinical work.

Compensation

Andrea's Angels compensates field RNs on a per-visit, fee-for-service basis. The following rates apply across all three programs skilled home health, IHSS, and ILST:

$135 Acute & Long-Term Home Health Visit (one visit, up to 2.5 hours)
$90 RN Brief Visit, first of day (one visit)
$65 RN Brief Visit, second or subsequent (one visit)

The first brief visit of each day is compensated at a higher rate to account for initial travel into the service area. Visits are assigned by geographic routing.

Three Kinds of Work. One License.

This isn't one visit type on repeat. Your caseload spans three distinct models, and which one you're walking into changes what the day asks of you.

Skilled Home Health Visits

Traditional field nursing. Assessments, clinical monitoring, care plan execution, and documentation in the patient's home. This is where your acute-care instincts stay sharp.

IHSS In-Home Support Services

Here you're the clinical authority, not the pair of hands. Colorado's IHSS model lets family members and chosen caregivers deliver health maintenance activities, with RN oversight, training, and sign-off behind them.

You teach a daughter how to safely manage her father's equipment. You audit the documentation. You do the supervisory drop-in that catches the problem three weeks before it becomes a hospitalization.

Who loves this: Nurses ready to move from doing into teaching, auditing, and case oversight. Educators at heart. Nurses who want their clinical judgment to scale beyond one patient at a time.

ILST Independent Living Skills Training

Colorado's Brain Injury Waiver funds something genuinely different: teaching adults with traumatic or acquired brain injury how to run their own lives again.

Not doing it for them. Teaching them. Cooking. Budgeting. Medication systems. Riding the bus to the grocery store and back. Rebuilding the daily architecture that a brain injury dismantled, one skill at a time, in their own home and their own community.

Who loves this: Nurses drawn to cognitive rehab and occupational therapy thinking. Anyone who's ever wanted to see functional progress measured in months and years instead of shift-to-shift vitals.

Who Thrives Here

  • You want to run your own visits without a charge nurse over your shoulder
  • You like teaching as much as you like treating
  • You want to work the weeks you want to work, and not the ones you don't
  • You're organized enough to own your own documentation and route your own day
  • You believe keeping someone in their home is as clinically meaningful as anything you did in a hospital

What You'll Need

Required

  • Active, unrestricted Colorado RN license (or compact multistate privilege)
  • Minimum 1 year clinical nursing experience
  • Current BLS/CPR certification
  • Reliable transportation, valid CO driver's license, and current auto insurance
  • Ability to travel across the Greeley and/or Northglenn service areas
  • Ability to pass background screening and required health clearances

Strongly Preferred

  • Home health, hospice, case management, or community health experience
  • Experience with brain injury, neuro rehab, developmental disability, or geriatric populations
  • Comfort with electronic documentation
  • Bilingual English/Spanish

Why Andrea's Angels

  • Multiple locations hiring Greeley and Northglenn, with room to grow your radius
  • Availability-based scheduling tell us the days you can work and we build around them
  • Program variety most agencies offer one lane, we offer three
  • Clinical independence you run your visits, not a checklist someone else wrote
  • Work that compounds you'll see the same clients get measurably better over months

Ready?

Apply today. We review applications on a rolling basis and move quickly for licensed RNs in our service areas.
