This full-time remote role is primarily focused on providing comprehensive mental health services to individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clientsโ€™ mental health and substance use concerns, identifying co-occurring disorders that may complicate treatment.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop tailored treatment plans utilizing evidence-based interventions, ensuring both mental health and substance use needs are addressed effectively.
  • Deliver individual and group therapy aimed at equipping clients with vital coping skills, relapse prevention strategies, and emotional regulation techniques essential for their recovery journey.
  • Coordinate care with our interdisciplinary team of professionals to provide unified and holistic treatment, ensuring that all aspects of a client's health are managed.
  • Perform regular substance use monitoring and apply motivational interviewing techniques to help clients engage actively in their recovery process.
  • Educate clients and their support systems about the relationship between mental health and substance use, emphasizing the importance of compliance with treatment.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of treatment plans, progress notes, and referrals in alignment with ethical and legal standards.
  • Participate in regular case conferences, staff meetings, and continuous training to enhance skills related to treating co-occurring disorders.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary client focus for this role includes individuals facing co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Our services cater to a diverse population, including those struggling with anxiety, depression, addiction, and other related issues. Your expertise will be instrumental in helping these clients achieve sustainable recovery and improved quality of life through effective treatment strategies.

Qualifications
  • Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, LPC/MHSP, or LMFT within the state of Tennessee.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based therapies relevant to co-occurring disorders, including Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
  • Strong understanding of the complex interactions between mental health and substance use disorders, demonstrated through practical experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills that foster collaborative relationships within a multidisciplinary team setting.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of two years of direct experience as a mental health counselor, with a focus on treating individuals with co-occurring disorders.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, enabling efficient documentation and case management.
  • Experience in facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions, applying innovative techniques to enhance client engagement.
