• Conduct individualized therapy sessions under the guidance of a registered nurse, tailoring treatment plans to meet each patient’s specific needs.
• Utilize telehealth technology to facilitate effective communication and therapy delivery, ensuring patient comfort and confidentiality.
• Document progress notes with diligence and accuracy, containing reflections on patient progress toward their therapeutic goals in line with department standards.
• Assist in orienting new patients and their families to treatment plans, providing them with clear information about the therapeutic process.
• Advocate for patient access to necessary services and resources, aligning with their treatment objectives and personal goals.
• Maintain knowledge of best practices and therapeutic methods, adhering to relevant policies and procedures while continually seeking to improve your professional skills.

As a Mental Health Counselor at Choice Physical Therapy & Wellness, Inc., you will work primarily with adult clients facing a variety of mental health challenges. Your role will involve providing support for conditions such as anxiety, depression, stress management, and other psychosocial issues. You will engage with a culturally diverse patient population, requiring sensitivity and adaptability to meet varying needs and backgrounds.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling is required.
• Possession of a current and valid license (LMFT, LPC, or LCSW) issued by the state board; provisional or limited licenses are not accepted.
• At least three years of professional experience in mental health or clinical settings, demonstrating a strong foundation in therapeutic practices.
• Ability to perform professional evaluations and contribute to treatment planning and implementation based on clinical judgment.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, combined with a compassionate and empathetic nature, helping to build a trusting therapeutic relationship with clients.
• Proficient computer skills, with familiarity in using electronic health record systems (EHR) for documentation and patient management.

• Experience working in a telehealth setting, demonstrating the ability to connect with clients virtually and navigate digital therapy platforms.
• Knowledge of advanced therapeutic modalities and techniques, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, or trauma-informed care.
• Skills in crisis intervention and management, ensuring patient safety and well-being during sessions.
