With approximately 50,000 patient admissions every year, MercyOne Clinton operates 163 licensed beds. In addition to a wide range of traditional hospital services, MercyOne Clinton provides a continuum of care with specialized services in wound care, radiation oncology, dialysis, imaging, sleep disorders, therapy services, and skilled care. MercyOne Clinton has a staff of more than 800 employees, making it one of the community's largest employers.

As a Radiology Tech at MercyOne, you will:

  • Assist physicians or radiologists in specialized procedures
  • Provide patient, family, and nursing units education on diagnostic testing
  • Utilize critical thinking in daily and emergent assessment of proper exam protocol
  • Examines any human body part for use in the diagnosis of medical problems
  • Demonstrate compassion, empathy and respect to customers and co-workers
  • Observe safety precautions when handling patients, for producing clear radiographs in order to facilitate treatment
  • Assess each patient for proper exam prep (if applicable) and appropriateness of each exam ordered
  • Follow exam protocols that have been set in place for the Radiology Department

Schedule:

  • Per Diem (PRN)

General Requirements:

  • ActiveAmerican Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
  • Active Iowa Department of Public Health Permit to Practice
  • Previous experience preferred
  • Must be BLS certified within 3 months of hire
  • Must possess a personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity, and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission and vision, goals, and values of Trinity Health

Education:

  • Graduate of a 2-year accredited Radiology program
