St. Ann's Community is currently looking for per diem Driver for the Adult Day Services located on the Irondequoit Campus. The primary focus of this position is to provide transportation and courier services for Resident/participants and departments within and for St. Ann's Community.

Job Description:
  • Provides door-to- door transportation services for residents/participants:
  • Assists wheelchair and ambulatory residents/participants in and out of vehicles.
  • Secures all riders with seat belts and/or wheelchair locks.
  • Assists residents with groceries to / from bus
  • Provides safe, professional transportation services for residents/participants:
  • Participates in preventative maintenance program for vehicles and maintains records as indicated.
  • Maintains daily inspection log
  • Maintains vehicle (s) in clean condition by getting them washed and maintaining a clean interior of vehicle
  • Participates in Medical Motors sponsored driver training and evaluation programs.
  • Obeys all traffic and vehicle laws and is responsible for any fines or tickets relating to the manner in which the vehicles are operated
  • Provides courier service for departments within St. Ann's Community:
  • Operates Cherry Ridge bus and courier car as assigned.
  • Assists Resident Services Mgr. And / or Concierge in scheduling/routing.
  • Acts as backup in Coordinator's absence.
  • Maintains vehicles in a clean and safe condition:
  • Reliable, dependable and punctual in use of work time.
  • Demonstrates initiative and cooperation in professional working relationships.
  • Compiles with applicable organizational policies and procedures i.e., mandatory education, health requirement, HR requirements.
  • Demonstrates a commitment of quality through participation on improvement teams and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Works to improve performance relative to the system's organizational goals.
  • Consistently delivers high quality service being responsive to customer needs.

Candidate Requirements:
  • High school diploma or (GED)
  • Valid NYS Driver's License
  • Prior Driver experience and/or at least one year of working with the elderly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of the Rochester area and able to read and understand maps
