Job description

We are expanding our team and seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Insurance Underwriter Agent to join our high-performing operation.
This role is ideal for licensed professionals who thrive on evaluating risk, making informed decisions, and supporting the agency's production goals by ensuring quality and compliance.
 As an Insurance Underwriter Agent, you will be responsible for assessing risks, reviewing applications, ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines, and collaborating with sales agents to issue accurate and timely quotes and policies. Your insight will be essential in maintaining the integrity of our portfolio while supporting the agency’s growth.
Required Qualifications

  • Valid Florida 4-40 or 2-20 Insurance License (Required)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in insurance underwriting or insurance sales
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • Familiarity with various carrier portals and underwriting platforms

 Responsibilities

  • Review and evaluate new insurance applications in line with carrier guidelines
  • Analyze inspection reports, and other documents to determine risk acceptability
  • Ensure underwriting decisions comply with the Insurance Companys Guidelines
  • Work closely with the sales team to clarify underwriting requirements and support timely policy issuance
  • Monitor active policies for risk exposure and recommend appropriate action
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of underwriting activities
  • Stay current with industry trends, carrier changes, and market dynamics
