Care Career is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Job Description & Requirements

  • Shift: 10 hours, rotating

Position Details
  • Specialty: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)
  • Facility: CHA Cambridge Hospital
  • Contract Length: 88 Days (~13 Weeks)
  • Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours/Week
  • Shift: Rotating 4x10-Hour Shifts
  • EMR: Epic (Preferred)
Schedule and Requirements
  • Rotating 4x10 schedule.
  • No block scheduling permitted.
  • On-call requirements:
    • Every 5thโ€“6th weekday evening through 7:00 AM the following day.
    • Every 6thโ€“7th weekend.
  • Must be flexible with scheduling.
  • Must work every other major holiday.
  • Locals within 50 miles accepted (local rate applies).
Required Experience
  • Minimum 1 year of Operating Room RN experience.
  • Previous travel experience required.
  • First-time travelers will not be considered.
  • Must provide:
    • Updated resume with specialty and travel experience.
    • Two recent manager/supervisor references in OR specialty.
    • Skills checklist matching specialty.
Required Certifications
  • Active Massachusetts RN License (or conditional MA license).
  • Current AHA BLS Certification.
  • NURSYS verification report dated within the last week showing all active and previous licenses.
  • Flu vaccine required during flu season.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room.
  • Coordinate patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures.
  • Maintain sterile technique and patient safety standards.
