Overnight RN - Whittier Rehabilitation Hospital

Whittier Rehabilitation Hospital -- Transitional Care Unit (TCU) is looking for an Overnight RN with a positive, dependable, team-oriented personality to join our small team here on the Transitional Care Unit. All of us on the Transitional Care Unit team pride ourselves on providing compassionate quality care, while supporting the individualized care of our patients, which may require flexibility to meet the needs of those under our care. We have great success in transitioning our patients from illness to wellness which brings us great joy and job satisfaction. Whittier TCU has recently been recognized as "Best Transitional Care Unit" by US News & World Report with a 5 Star Rating!! We look forward to interviewing those that share this philosophy.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assists with admission paperwork for incoming patients.
  • Assists with discharge paperwork and education with patient and families.
  • Supervises and evaluates all direct resident care and initiates corrective action as necessary.
  • Provides clinical supervision of Nursing Assistants, and Licensed Practical Nurses providing direct patient care.
  • Experience in Wound Care, Ostomy Care, Management of Iv's, Phlebotomy.
  • Cardiac care as well as Orthopedics.

Prerequisites:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current Licensure in Massachusetts as a Registered Nurse.
  • Will entertain a new grad RN
  • Current Certification of BLS of Healthcare Provider CPR in Adult, Child and Infant.
