Job description

Step into an exciting contract opportunity shaping the minds of 5th and 6th grade students as a Math Teacher in a vibrant school setting near Chicago, IL. This full-time position (37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday) focuses on fostering a positive classroom environment where students can thrive in mathematics and fundamental general education concepts.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Math endorsement qualifying you to teach at least 5th and 6th grade levels
  • Experience in general education settings, preferably grades 5 or 6
  • Strong knowledge of math curriculum and ability to differentiate instruction
  • Excellent communication, classroom management, and organizational skills
  • Previous experience administering and grading assessments is a plus
