To thrive as a Per Diem Generac Generator Technician, you need strong electrical and mechanical repair skills, relevant technical training or certification (such as Generac factory certification), and experience working with power generation equipment. Familiarity with diagnostic tools, schematic reading, and typical generator maintenance systems is essential. Excellent problem-solving, time management, and customer service abilities help technicians address urgent repairs and communicate effectively with clients. These skills ensure reliable generator performance, customer satisfaction, and safety in critical backup power situations.

What are the typical responsibilities and work environments for a Per Diem Generac Generator Technician?

As a Per Diem Generac Generator Technician, you can expect to perform on-demand maintenance, repairs, and installations of Generac generators at various client locations. The role often involves traveling to residential or commercial sites, troubleshooting generator issues, conducting routine inspections, and ensuring all equipment meets safety and operational standards. Work is typically independent but may involve collaborating with dispatch coordinators or other technicians for complex projects. Flexibility is key, as assignments may be sporadic and require availability for emergency calls or scheduled service windows.

What is a Per Diem Generac Generator technician?

These technicians ensure that generators operate efficiently and safely, performing tasks such as routine inspections, troubleshooting, and emergency repairs. Working on a per diem basis allows both the technician and employer flexibility in scheduling and workload.

What does per diem mean on a job?
