We provide generator installation, maintenance, repair, and electrical services and have grown to become one of Chicagoland's fastest-growing Generac Premier Dealers. Penco is known for quality workmanship, professionalism, and exceptional customer service.

Position Summary

Penco is seeking a Generator Installer to manage the installation of residential standby generator systems. The ideal candidate has experience installing back up power systems and performing related electrical work, panel upgrades, and electrical troubleshooting. This role requires strong electrical expertise, attention to safety and code compliance, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship along with exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the installation of residential standby generator systems from initial setup through final completion.
  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure generator systems operate reliably.
  • Execute residential electrical work, including wiring, equipment connections, and electrical system enhancements.
  • Install, replace, upgrade, and service electrical panels.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with applicable safety regulations, electrical codes, and company quality standards.
  • Collaborate with office and operations teams by providing regular updates on project progress, challenges, and completion status.
  • Maintain accurate organization and inventory of tools, equipment, materials, and service vehicles.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by maintaining a professional demeanor and high-quality workmanship on every project.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in the electrical field
  • Generator installation and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Proficiency in using electrical tools and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
